PRINCESS BEATRICE has just given birth to a baby girl named Athena.
On January 29, the Palace of Westminster By releasing a sweet first image of the infant, Buckingham Palace revealed the arrival of Princess Beatrice, 36, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's second child. In a heartfelt homage to Beatrice's late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the couple decided on the name Athena Elizabeth Rose. The palace first announced a due date in early spring, so it's known that the baby's early arrival was not shocking, even though it came several weeks early. Nonetheless, the pleased parents report that their child is "healthy" and "doing well."

This is the couple's second child, who already have a little girl named Sienna.
The couple announced the princess's pregnancy on October 1. The little girl, born prematurely weighing just under 2.2 kg, is 11th in line to the British throne, just after her older sister, born in September 2021.
Beatrice of York, 36, is the eldest daughter of King Charles' younger brother Andrew and Sarah Ferguson . She is ninth in line to the British throne. The couple's two daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, 34, are cousins of Harry and William, and granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II.
A birth a little early?
Athena thus joins the blended family formed by Beatrice, Edoardo, their first daughter Sienna (3 years old) and Christopher Woolf (8 years old), Edoardo's son born from a previous relationship with Dara Huang. The announcement of the second pregnancy of the princess, aged 34, was made last October. Since then, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson has appeared several times with her rounded belly, such as during the traditional Christmas mass of the royal family at Sandringham.
On his Instagram account, the happy dad also posted an announcement: "We welcomed baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely crazy about her. Our hearts are overflowing with love for you, baby Athena," wrote the 41-year-old real estate developer and interior designer. A message that specifies that Athena was born in London, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The little girl seems to have arrived a little early, since the birth was rather expected for the beginning of spring.
