A colic cure? Well not really. The day that there is a cure for colic it will be a major noise, and every doctor will know about it.
Do you think there can be a cure for colic? I personally don’t think there will ever be a colic cure and here is why.
Colic is an effect of brain development in infants, well that is my opinion anyway. (If you want to know why I think that then you will have to read my book about how to stop a crying baby) It stands to reason that the cure will have to affect this brain problem, and right now no doctor that is not insane would mess with giving a baby a drug that affects the brain.
So what do you do? Just let it run it’s course? You could do nothing, and many parents inadvertantly do exactly that. But you would be cheating your baby and yourself out of happiness for both parties
The answer is to be the nurse and ease any pain and suffering because there is no cure, you should address the cause and make the patient as comfortable as possible. It’s just like treating a head-cold, or a broken leg – there is no magic pill, but you can reduce the symptoms to help make things easier
OK so lets begin, first you need to know the symptoms. If you are an unlucky parent with a child that has colic then you pretty much will be concentrating on the main one. The Screaming!
Actually it is as simple as that to begin with. So this will be easier than you thought.
OK thats it you’re done
Only joking.
How do you treat the crying? There are 5 steps you must know, that when used in tandem will put your colicky baby to sleep in a few moments. Usually I only need 3 of the 5 steps used together and that is enough send baby to sleep most of the time.
I will give away Steps 1, 4 & 5 to you here now. But to get the really important elements you will have to go to my colic website and get the info for free.
STEP 1 Body Contact.
Touch to the front and back of baby at the same time by
using contact with your own skin. This step is first because it works
included with step three. I was originally going to put this in as step three, but because it is
so fundamental and a prerequisite for other steps I decided to make
this step 1.
STEP 2 & 3 left out.
STEP 4: Use a Swaddle. There are video links on my site on how to do that.
STEP 5: Dummy or Pacifier – people think this is the best they can do, in these steps it is actually the worst one, and I have Proof It will actually increase the amount of time for baby to sleep when you use a pacifier.
I have much more detail about each step on my site. The 5 steps take up at least 15 pages in the free ebook.
